BA tier points calculator (2026–27 and 2027–28 rates)

In short: enter your flights and this calculator estimates the British Airways Club tier points you'll earn. It shows whether each flight gets the previous or new extra tier point rate, and how close the trip gets you to Bronze, Silver or Gold in that collection year. It uses only the rates BA publishes on ba.com, checked 1 November 2026. It's an estimate. BA's own figure, shown when you book and in Manage My Booking, is final.

Distance-based partner airlines, agency fares and collection years BA has not published are out of scope. For those flights, use BA's own flight calculator.

This calculator accepts pounds only. BA converts other currencies with the IATA five-day rate on the purchase date.

What BA means by short-haul

Short-haul means flights up to 3,000 miles, or up to 2,000 miles on BA-operated flights. A listed set of routes also counts as short-haul, for example London–Larnaca, London–Paphos and London–Tel Aviv. The full list is on BA's Club terms.

1,000 tier points

2027-28: Blue. 1,000 tier points, 2,500 short of Bronze.

Estimate based on BA's published rates, checked 1 November 2026. BA's figure in Review and Pay or Manage My Booking is final.

How this calculator works

BA awards tier points in three ways:

  • 1 per £1 of eligible spend (fare plus carrier-imposed charges)
  • a fixed number of extra tier points per flight, by cabin and fare type
  • 2 per £1 on add-ons such as bags, seats and SAF

From 1 April 2027, extra tier points fall on some long-haul premium fares, but only for flights booked on or after 25 November 2026. Read why 25 November matters and the full BA Club changes explained. If the points never arrive, see how to claim missing Avios and tier points.

What it doesn't cover

  • Distance-based partner airlines, agency fares, and collection years BA hasn't published yet. For partner flights, use BA's own flight calculator.
