Blue Rewards (Al-Futtaim)

How Blue Rewards works at IKEA, M&S, ACE, Watsons and other Al-Futtaim brands: 1% cashback, Blue Points (100 = AED 1), 2-for-1 offers, EmCan linking and du.

Best ways to maximise Blue Rewards (Al-Futtaim)

  • Top up your Blue Wallet with a Blue Gift Card for an extra 2%. Blue adds 2% of a gift card's value when you add it to your Blue Wallet, up to AED 500 a year per wallet in the UAE. This applies to retail purchases only, not corporate orders.
  • Pay online with your Blue Wallet. Blue says you also earn 1% cashback on online purchases paid with the Blue Wallet.
  • Link EmCan if you fill up at Emarat. You earn 1 Blue Point per AED 10 at Emarat stations, and 1 EmCan point per AED 4 at participating Al-Futtaim brands, on top of your usual rewards. Use the same mobile number for both apps.
  • Spend cashback within 12 months. It expires 12 months after the purchase that earned it.

  • Earn: unlimited 1% cashback on purchases at participating brands, plus Blue Points for actions in the app.
  • Extras: over 2,500 2-for-1 offers, and a link with Emarat's EmCan for extra rewards on both sides.
  • Our verdict: a simple yes if you shop at IKEA, M&S or ACE. The cashback is small but automatic.

Value, with the sums

  • Cashback: 1% → AED 100 spent = AED 1 in your Blue Wallet.
  • Blue Points: 100 points = AED 1. Once you reach 5,000 Blue Points, they convert automatically into AED 50 of wallet balance (5,000 ÷ 100).
  • Gift card bonus: add a AED 1,000 Blue Gift Card to your wallet → 2% = AED 20 extra, within the AED 500-a-year cap.
  • EmCan link at Emarat: 1 Blue Point per AED 10 → AED 100 of fuel = 10 Blue Points = AED 0.10 of Blue value (10 ÷ 100).

How to earn

  • Cashback in store: show your Blue barcode at checkout at a participating brand. Cashback can take up to 72 hours to appear.
  • Cashback online: check out on a participating brand's website or app using the same mobile number you registered with Blue. In the UAE, Blue lists M&S, Watsons and IKEA for online cashback.
  • Blue Points: for signing up, completing your profile, playing Blue Games, inviting friends and completing surveys. Ways to earn points change by season.

Participating brands listed for the UAE (Dubai and Northern Emirates): KIABI, Ted Baker, Maje, M&S, Sandro, Watsons, ACE, IKEA, Toys"R"Us, The Watch House, AAPE, Health Hub Clinics, Health Hub Pharmacy and Champs Outdoors.

How to spend

  • Use your Blue Wallet balance at participating Al-Futtaim brands. The cashier scans your barcode.
  • Use 2-for-1 offers in the app. Each merchant usually has around three offers, and each offer can be used once at one location.
  • Blue Points can also be swapped for vouchers or used on offers in the app.

du customers

du and Al-Futtaim's Blue Rewards announced a partnership in 2022 so that du customers and Blue members can get exclusive offers and rewards. We found no separate du points programme. Check the Blue app for current du offers.

Conversions

  • EmCan (Emarat): linked earning as above. EmCan Coins can then go into Emirates Skywards at 10 EmCan Coins = 1 Skywards Mile through Skywards Everyday.
  • Blue Points can't be transferred to another member.

FAQ

How much is a Blue Point worth? 100 Blue Points = AED 1. They convert automatically into wallet balance once you have 5,000 (AED 50).

Does Blue cashback expire? Yes, 12 months after the purchase that earned it.

Is the "5%" I've seen on Blue the app? No. The app pays 1% cashback. A higher rate advertised next to the Blue name belongs to a different product, which this page does not cover.

Can I use Blue outside the UAE? Blue runs in the GCC, Egypt, Singapore and Malaysia, but gift cards and cross-border redemptions are limited to the country of issue.
