Insider tips
- Link your online account within 5 days. Bought online before linking Shukran? You can still earn if you link your store account and your Shukran account within 5 days of the purchase. The points then arrive automatically.Sources: S1, S2
- Use the virtual card in store. If you joined online, you don't need a physical card. Activate the virtual card in the Shukran app to earn and spend in store, and add it to Apple Wallet if that's easier at the till.Sources: S1, S3
- Shop logged in rather than as a guest. If you return an order you paid for with Shukrans, logged-in shoppers get the value back as My Credit, which works across the group's brands online. Guest shoppers get a Return Voucher that only works for that one brand.Sources: S1
- Check what you'll earn before you buy. The app's calculator shows how many Shukrans you can earn or spend at each brand, both on sale and full price.Sources: S3
- Don't pay with vouchers if you want points. Promotional and Return Vouchers don't earn Shukrans. If you pay partly with a voucher, you only earn on the rest.Sources: S1, S2
- Watch for birthday bonus points. Members get birthday bonus points as well as member offers, events and sale previews, so make sure your date of birth is right on your account.Sources: S1, S2
- Ask for a physical card if you need one. No smartphone? Call 800-SHUKRAN (800-7485726) or email info@shukranrewards.com to ask for a physical card.Sources: S1, S2
Common mistakes
- Counting on a card that's still active. Your Shukran card stays active even if you don't use it, but each Shukran is only valid for 24 months and can't be re-credited once it expires.Sources: S1
- Trying to use UAE points abroad. Shukrans can only be earned and spent in the country where your card was issued.Sources: S1, S2
- Using Shukrans for delivery charges. Shukrans can't pay for shipping or cash on delivery charges.Sources: S1, S2
- Cancelling an order and expecting to keep the points. If you cancel an order, the Shukrans you spent are refunded, but the Shukrans you earned on it are taken back.Sources: S1
- Planning to give Shukrans to someone else. Shukrans can't be transferred.Sources: S1
- Returning card-paid items without expecting a deduction. If you return something you paid for by card, the Shukrans you earned on it are taken off your account. On cash on delivery orders you keep the Shukrans but get a Return Voucher, which doesn't earn.Sources: S1, S2
How to earn faster
- Link every Landmark store account you use. Earning online only works once your Shukran account is linked to the store's account, so link each site you shop on.Sources: S1, S2
